Joel Frame | Executive Director
Joel Frame is a hip-hop MC and producer from York, Pennsylvania. Growing up, he was heavily influenced by all styles of music. However, hip-hop was the genre that made him realize he could really have a voice, so he began writing and recording almost every night while he was in in high school. Joel started performing his own original music in college, and in 2007 he recorded his first album in Denver, Colorado.
Shortly after, he and his wife moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he recorded his second album. In Cincinnati he began volunteering at a hip-hop youth center called Elementz. His time at Elementz would be the beginning of his dream to start a faith-based urban arts center. Joel and his wife then moved into a low-income neighborhood in Springfield, Ohio, where they worked with struggling youth on a daily basis.
After spending years of mentoring, teaching, and recording youth in his home, he and his wife and two daughters moved to Nashville where the dream of opening an urban arts center would come to fruition.
